It’s time for America East! Join us March 15 to 17 at the Hershey Lodge.

More than just a dynamic trade show, America East is your source for the latest and most important strategies and solutions. With more than 25 sessions and roundtables scheduled over three action-packed days in Hershey, you can explore advertising and marketing, online, circulation, editorial and production questions and answers.

Kick off with the keynote presentation “Journalism 2010 and Beyond.”  Martin Kaiser will share his insight and his desire for “news literacy” – teaching citizens the value and values of newspapers. Long a proponent to preserve journalism’s core mission of truthfully reporting the big issues and stories of today while exploring ways to rebuild the industry’s business model, Kaiser wrestles with these issues daily both in his role locally at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and nationally as president of the American Society of News Editors.

With a combined print and online audience of 171 million readers, newspapers are a tremendous scoring opportunity."

PNA and OnDemand Energy Solutions partner to provide reduced energy costs

Since electricity rate caps have expired, business owners could be looking at a 30 to 60 percent increase in their electric utility bills. That’s why the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association has partnered with OnDemand Energy to provide PNA members with reduced energy costs.

Through the PNA/OnDemand Energy Agreement, PNA members will have the opportunity to participate in a Chamber Choice energy pool, an aggregated buying pool designed to purchase electricity in bulk for a fixed time period as a way to lock in a lower price. This allows members to save money, gain purchasing power and increase flexibility.
